Privacy Policy

Overview

PhoEdit provides browser-based image and PDF tools. This Privacy Policy explains what happens when you use the website, including how files are processed, what third-party services may load, and how analytics and advertising technologies are used.

Image and PDF processing

PhoEdit is designed to process files in your browser whenever possible. Tools such as image resizing, compression, conversion, image-to-PDF, and PDF compression work through browser-side JavaScript, canvas, Web Workers, or WebAssembly libraries. In these workflows, your selected file is used by your browser to generate the result and is not intentionally uploaded to PhoEdit for storage.

Advanced tools such as background removal, object removal, and image upscaling may load browser AI libraries, WebAssembly runtimes, or model files from third-party CDNs or PhoEdit model hosting. These assets help the tool run locally in your browser. Loading an engine or model file is not the same as uploading your image to be stored, but your browser may contact those third-party hosts to retrieve the code or model required for processing.

Information you provide

You can use the editing tools without creating an account. If you contact PhoEdit through the contact form or by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, message, browser details, screenshots, or sample files you attach or link for support.

Please avoid sending sensitive documents or private images unless they are necessary for support and you are comfortable sharing them.

Analytics, logs, and cookies

PhoEdit uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as pages visited, approximate location, device type, browser type, referring pages, and interaction patterns. This helps prioritize bug fixes and improve popular tools. Analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

Hosting and security systems may also create standard server logs, which can include IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamps. These logs are used for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

Advertising and third-party services

PhoEdit includes Google AdSense readiness code and an ads.txt file. If ads are served, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, measure, and improve advertising. Your choices and available controls depend on your region, browser settings, and Google's advertising policies.

The site may load third-party libraries from services such as Google, jsDelivr, unpkg, Skypack, or other content delivery networks when a tool needs them. Those providers receive normal web request information from your browser when their resources are loaded.

Data retention

PhoEdit does not maintain user accounts and does not intentionally store images or PDFs selected for browser-side tool processing. Contact messages are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond, track feedback, and protect the service. Analytics and server logs are retained according to the settings and retention practices of the relevant providers and hosting systems.

Your responsibilities

Keep original backups before editing files. Do not process content that you do not have the right to use. For sensitive, regulated, confidential, or high-value files, consider whether a browser-based utility site is appropriate for your workflow before selecting a file.

Your choices

  • You can leave the site or clear the selected file before downloading a result.
  • You can control cookies and third-party storage through your browser settings.
  • You can use browser privacy tools or Google ad settings where available.
  • You can contact us with privacy questions or requests at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as tools, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
